Monday Morning Stupor

Just as I was falling asleep last night I thought up a good blog post. Now, come morning, I can’t remember what it was. I really hate when that happens…

So, instead of whatever brilliance that post was, I’m just going to point you in the direction of a bunch of cool things.

Laura Anne Gilman is in the final few days of her Kickstarter project, Miles to Go/Promises to Keep. She has four days left and needs less than $1000 to fund it. Laura Anne is a fabulous writer and I’m really looking forward to reading her Kickstarter project, so please go help fund it. I’ve done my part, now it’s time for you to do yours. 😉

I have decided that when I start my own religion, I’m going to appoint Neil deGrasse Tyson as my first prophet. And Stephen Colbert will be my first Preacher of the Word. If you have a spare hour and a half in your day, go watch this awesome video of Stephen interviewing Neil.

The publisher TOR has decided to go DRM free as of this coming July. This is such good news all around seeing as how DRM does nothing to deter pirates, but is certainly a deterrent to legitimate customers.

Brenda Novak’s annual online Auction for the Cure of Diabetes starts tomorrow. She always has a ton of awesome literary based auctions, whether they be for writers (agent evaluations, editorial critiques, etc) or for readers (ARCs, books, ereaders, etc), as well as other equally fun offerings.

Today, I am busting out the food processor and making some delicious and very healthy fruit rollups. Then it’s outside to get a few more things crossed off the Household Projects List of Doom!

  1. Thank you so much for mentioning my auction! Here’s hoping we set a new record and that the money goes far toward providing a cure to the millions who suffer with this disease.
